Webroot

My backup files have never been scanned and I need to know how to instruct WEBROOT to scan only the external drive. My operating system is OSX Yosemity. It is not intuitive or either I am more dense than I thought. It will take a good while to scan that big a disk but it has to be done as I am sure there are threats lurking in the large number of backups residing on that disk. Thanks for any guidance for this novice. Charlie  

My computer is deemed at risk after a scheduled scan by Webroot, MS Security Essentials says the app monitoring my computer has stopped. Please restart. This does cure it until the next Webroot scan  AGRIVATING !!! Any ideas . Can I switch it off ?Thank you.

Will Webroot protect my computer from the Trogan Hoarse?

So I submitted an idea a while back to enable a custom installation without the Webroot Filter. Any idea when will this happen?   I have switched to another product because of this I don't want it, I don't want it sitting disabled in my add-ons at all. I don't use any AV that has extensions.....

The auto back up hasn't worked since 2013 for my PC. How do I get it to back up only my new files and skip the old ones that are already backed up?

just downloaded webroot and tried to set up my account only to get error message - UCR2. How can I get arround this? I tried in both chrome and explorer.

Does Webroot detect Trojan viruses?  When I logged on to the web using the Microsoft 10 I got a message that said my system had a Trojan virus and the only way I could get off the web was to shut down my computer.   I ran a scan with Webroot and with the Defender and no virus was showing???  I went on the web not using the Microsoft 10 just the, what I call the old "e" and no message appeared.  Any ideas? 

I permitted Webroot to remove a file that it said was malware, but afterwards I discovered it was a necessary file. Is there a way Webroot lets you undo this deletion and restore it?  

Since install of Webroot AV my Context Menu items under windows start menu have stopped working. For example. Start Men>RMB Computer>Manage = nothing happens. Also, items pinned in start menu with RECENT submenus do not work either.  The Main program that is pinned will open, but anything under its RECENT menu, will not open. Remote desktop recent items does not work. Steam recent items does not work Yet all those programs that won't open via RECENT submenu do open and work fine when using their shortcut  directly.  It appears to be an issue with Context Menu settings, but I cannot  figure out how to fix it.  This problem started right after I installed webroot.

Lenovo, Webroot, , etc., how many protection devices do I need? 

I cannot find any way to control or unlock the icon in the lower right corner.  It appears that all my processes are allowed so far - nothing shows being blocked, but the java window will not open,  I upgraded java to version 51, still not working.   Kathryn

Every time I scan the software finds and removes one threat? Does that mean that it is not effectively removing it?

I do get rid of this mindspark a toolbar for google chrome that I did not add.

Today I revieved a popup that said i needed to call windows support by phone to have them give me direction on how to remove spyware from my computer. they directed me to download Teamviewer software and they wanted to directly connect to my computer which i did not do. has anyone ever heard of this before?

When I renewed my Webroot, it never asked for the new keycode. And it asks me to log in on Chrome and Firefox each time I go online. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it but I still get asked to log in and now it will not accept my email. I get the message, 'unknown email address' And when I compare the info on the program that is installed versus what is showing online, the keycodes are different. The online says the keycode has expired. Should I uninstall it again?
