Only on my IE I am continually getting an error message: A WEBROOT CRITICAL ERROR OCCURED Failed to find required file C:\ProgramData\WRData\PKG\LPPlugin.dll Any ideas on how to fix?

I cannot install the latest Webroot WiFi Security App on my Windows 10 laptop. When I download the .exe from here... https://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/products/wifi-installer-download it will not install. An error message pops up along with a chime but the message appears so quick that I'm unable to read it. I have tried running it with Administrator privileges, as well, but still no joy. :( The funny thing is, I can install an older version of the app (1.0.3.7) which still works, but it keeps telling me to download the updated version. Whether I download the update from within the app or from the link above, it will not install. Would it be possible for another member to try downloading the WiFi app for Windows from the above source and tell me if you're able to install it. If you can, then it'

"deep scan"... dang you, 4k! Trying to determine how to kick off a deep scan on an endpoint without usng the web gui. I have 50 endpoints. Need to do it programmatically, and I can run scripts on each EP if needed, or is hitting the API going to allow this to happen to one/group?

I'm querying the API for sites and then each site for its endpoints, after about 4-5 queries I started getting a gateway timeout and now even trying to get a token times out. Are there ongoing issues or is there some type of rate limit I should be following? I'm not getting a 429 so I'm leaning towards ongoing issues but figured I'd check anyways.

I have a new KeyCode in operation, but an old KeyCode (now expired) will not go away: the Password Manager from that old KeyCode continues to insist, on the Console: "Your keycode has now expired. To continue accessing Passwords please renew your keycode otherwise your data may be lost." On each computer, on the Webroot settings box, under PassWord Manager, I am told "Password Manager is not Active", when I tell it to "activate" it tries, but Safari intervenes to tell me it does not approve of that one, I should try another Manager. I tried to install LastPass, and did, but I cannot connect it to Webroot, and Webroot continues to insist I need to renew that old expired KeyCode, and I need to activate Password Manager, which Safari blocks. Hey y'all, this is the first time I've seen anything come up from Webroot. The files in question are in the Windows/System32/oobe/oem folder, titled as Set_Homepage.exe and SetLockScreen.exe. Each of them is being read by Webroot as a win32.hacktool.fullbot. What is this and is it safe to simply delete the files there (rarely ever in system32 as I understand)? Webroot has been unsuccessful in removing the files at all. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I am being notified by Webroot that I have High CPU issues. This has happened twice since the new updated Mobile Android v5.5.4.36995. My device gets really hot and I have tried to get a screen shot of the notification but it blanks out. I have restarted my phone and it still feels warmer then usual. Samsung Galaxy Note 8

I've tried numerous times via the following means: -desktop app ('Get Customer Support') -Internet home page ('open a support ticket') -directly from the 'contact Webroot support page' Ea. time, I keep getting stuck in an endless loop, where I eventually end up at a 'Welcome Back!' page, that says, 'we have already had contact with , it asks for my password, I enter my password, hit continue but nothing happens. With regards to my issue, I would like to know if the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (downloaded directly from Intel), is truly a threat vs. a false alarm.

I need to whitelist/override two locations for the Mdaemon localcache but not sure about the override settings to just whitelist the localcache file. Is the correct File Mask: LocalCache.* Path Mask: %AllUsersProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Alt-N\Outlook Connector 2.0\Accounts\Outlook\dsiegert@minimaxexpress.com or: %AllUsersProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Alt-N\Outlook Connector 2.0\Accounts\Outlook\ - with subfolders selected, in this case it need to only override the localcache file since there is an attachment folder which we do not want to override. and: %AllUsersProfile%\Documents\Outlook Files or just: %AllUsersProfile%\ - would this catch the entire profile to include the two locations above? I appreciate any help with this.

I have lately been getting notifications that webroot is overloading the CPU in my Samsung galaxy S7. has there been an update that may be responsible as I am very wary of closing the app as it repeatedly asks.

I have just reinstalled Webroot SrcureAnywhere on my Galaxy Tab S4 and when I do a scan it takes less than a second with no movement onnthr progress bar and no error message. Any ideas what is wrong please?

I hate to ask this and please no responses telling me to get off these versions of Windows because they aren't supported by Microsoft. I already know that and I'm pushing for upgrades, but I don't control the budget. My question is, how much longer will Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 be supported. The last report I can find on Windows XP is April 2019, but that was from 2014 and it said that might be extended. I don't have any info on Windows Server 2003. I have installed webroot for a while and its functioning ok but it seems to be draining my battery badly . I am using a Saamsung S3 MIni phone and bettery life used to be about a day and now its just a few hours.    Tony

webroot asked if I want to block the file from installing from my syswow64 folder. I checked and its also in system32. Just wondering if this is normal.

When I scan device, it scans from 1% to done is half a second then reports all is well but yellow warning does not go away.

I updated my phone app for the Webroot SecureAnywhere Mobile and also the SecureWeb app, and as soon as I did, I began to get the yellow warning that my scan was out of date. I got to manually run the scan and the yellow section on the left of the progress bar just sits there at a sliver size, then the swirling circle appears and it says scan complete and everything is protected, my app page is nice and green and everything looks normal. Until I go back to the main screen which gives me the yellow icon that warns that my scan is old as of right now. So, what do I do to fix it? Help!!!!

A couple of days ago, "Webroot Secure Anywhere" began chewing up the battery on my Android phone. I depleted my 100% charge down to almost nothing in a couple of hours and my my phone got hot. I look at my battery log and it says that it is that app that is causing it. I uninstalled the app and the battery consumption resumed a normal pattern. After an hour or so I reinstalled the app. For the next hour and a half it was fine, then kicked back in sucking my battery dry. My phone is only a couple of months old. Has anybody else experienced this? Is there a solution??

The Webroot website says: "Mac Version 9.0.9.60 (Released January 16th, 2019)" "fixed misc bugs" Does anyone know whether those "bugs" included ones that blocked internet access in an El Capitan MacBook Pro '09?

It used to take somewhere close to a minute and I could watch the progress bar. For the last 2 days, I have noticed that my Moto G5S plus's battery is draining in less than one day - highly unusual - and when I try scanning for malware, it finishes in less than 3 seconds. I deleted 2 apps, limited a few more apps, but the unusual behavior continues. My phone is less than 1 year old, so a battery dying like this doesn't seem right to me. Thank you for any advise.
