Webroot® SecureAnywhere™ - Complete

When I change the day and the time ( so lets say I want to scan every Tuesday at 10 am) I have to confirm that of course, so I do that but then I get the message that my PC is "currently managed by Web Console" and that my settings "may be overwritten on the next database communication"; so I click OK and fill in an encrypted code (bbyy2q, for instance) and then my settings should have been saved! However, that is not so; as soon as I reopen WebSecureAnywhere Complete and take a look at the settings they are back to "Scan every day " and "Scan before 8.00 am when the computer is idle". I want to manage the days and times of the scans myself! So how can I make 'the scheduled scan page' work?
Is anyone else having this problem or know a solution? I can only access Facebook (I use an HTTPS connection to it) if the Facebook Social Network Protection is turned off to none. Obviously, I don't want to roam Facebook with no protection, so this isn't a good thing. Has anyone had this problem and know what a work around could be? Any chance that it's the HTTPS access to FB that's causing a conflict? Thanks!
My webroot program have been showing me that I have threats, and after I scan, it still shows that I have threats. Are my scans even cleaning or removing threats from my computer? It doesn't seem as the program is working properly?
After installing WSA Complete, my “remembered” website login settings (user and password) are no longer visible or active in IE7 or Chrome. I understood that the Identify Shield controls these, so I unchecked the shield setting, “Prevent programs from accessing protected credentials." This did not help. I also changed the “Protected Applications” setting for IE7 from “Protect” to “Allow.” Still, my login settings are missing and must be entered manually. I am interested in eventually going to Password Management, but want to restore this password convenience temporarily. Can anyone help? What am I missing?
How can I access my backup files from a different computer? When I log into my webroot account under the backup section it says "View, download or share any of your files or photo albums that you are securely storing online from any computer with Internet access." However, underneath it only has a "buy backup" option. When I click on that, my keycodes come up and it shows that I have the Complete version that comes with 10GB of storage. I've synced the files from my laptop. I just can't figure out how to view them from a computer other than my laptop. Please help! Also, when trying to use SecureSync on my Android device - it's asking for a PIN. I don't remember ever setting a PIN so how can I reset it?
It's not very accurate in its analysis of my system, and the "complete report" doesn't tell which "Important updates" my system is missing. That's not much help at all, in fact it's very disappointing and on my system at least appears to be inaccurate. I run Windows Update manually, and I keep the BITS and "Automatic Updates" services disabled since I discovered years ago that Microsoft was applying updates to my system even though I had told it "Notify me but don't automatically download or install them". However, before running WSA, I enabled BITS and the AU service. Even so, Webroot's "complete report" says: Windows Updates ---------------------------------------------------------------- Auto Update State Disabled Update Type Auto-Updates Disabled Last Update Check Never Last Update Download Never Last Update Install Never (90 days ago) Next Scheduled Update Check 2009-06-11 01:29:29 Next Scheduled Install Time Never but in fact I ran W.U. earlier today and rebo
Does Webroot fully support the Opera and Chrome browsers? I have noticed that search results, say from google, do not contain the check or X marks that show up in IE. I have noticed in Chrome, results are encrypted with a https: connections, but Opera is http:. No security icons appear on either browser, though.
Webroot secure anywhere did not detect 3 trojans in the sun java cache folder which norton 360 6.0 picked up, I was suspicious something was going on that webroot secure anywhere did not pick up so I installed norton 360 after uninstalling webroot. Webroot deep scan did not find it either. On another note I was wondering if webroot secure anywhere protects against ddos attacks? Thanks
HI, I am new to webroot. I am also not very clued up re technical information. I can get by usually downloading and using the internet etc but quite ignorant really:@ I have webroot complete installed on laptop and pc, and it works very well. I am really pleased with it. However, I am trying to install it on my Samsung S11. My notifications say that it is downloaded, but I can't find it anywhere on my phone, and also though I logged in to my account at no time during the instal was I asked for any code. I have checked my webroot account on my pc and the phone is not listed. I have tried twice now, but just keep getting directed to the google play site and go through all the same screens, but still can't seem to add my phone to my account or see where webroot is stored. Can anyone help with a very simple step by step guide or tell me where I am going wrong. I think I have the free version installed somewhere on my phone ....but not sure. By the way I am completely new to this fo
Hello, I am a new user here, so please forgive me if this is in the wrong section. I am using WSA complete 2012 latest version (8.0.1.203) I was wondering if anyone has experience poor performance issues while using Google Chrome with WSA Identity Shield HTTP setting at the highest level security. The problem: The issue I am having with having the HTTP setting at the most secure, is that Google Chrome ends up using all of the threads and CPU cycles to the point where it becomes completely unresponsive. Also, this event is escalated when browsing a flash intensive website such as YouTube. My computer: Gateway NX570X Laptop Intel T5600 1.83 ghz (first generation mobile Core2Duo) 2.00GB RAM Windows 7 32bit 3.2 Windows Experience Index Chrome extensions (enabled): AdBlock AdBlock+ Element Hiding Helper Do Not Track Google Voice (by Google) HTTPS Everywhere Keep My Opt-Outs Turn Off the Lights This performance issue happens every time I use the browser and is not a random occu
Is it compatible with System Mechnic?
I didn't see another message like this one, please forgive me if there's a duplicate thread. I am interested in purchasing the "Essentials" product, but noticed the "Complete" version also includes Android device protection. Does anyone know if this is in addition to the 3 PCs covered by the product, or if each Android device counts against the 3 PCs covered?
[b]TripleHelix for your suggestion! ;) *edit is just to update the link 🙂
I ask because I have it set to backup an outlook.pst file, but it has not (so far) backed up. Outlook is often left open, and since it is a large file, I wonder what the process might be. Oh, this is a Windows XP machine
Large caches of temp files can bloat your machine and take up valuable hard drive space. System Analyzer can tell you when you have excessive temp files on your system. Specifically, it will say "There are a large number of temporary files on your system which can be removed to optimize performance." You can then use the System Cleaner that is built into SecureAnywhere Essentials and Complete to clean up these temp files and improve system performance. First, click on the System Tools tab and navigate to Cleanup Settings. You can specify which temp files you would like the System Cleaner to remove including; Windows Temporary folders, Registry Streams, Cookies, URL History, and Temporary Internet Files. Click Save All and select Clean Up Now! :D *edit is just to update the link 🙂
first my online console shows 9 pcs kinda annoyin i cant delete them there is no delete tab cannot find add license aswell is it invisible? and for my phone cant add license or register it says to associate it online with key codes makes no sense be cause i cant plese help
One of the coolest features of System Analyzer is that it finds system devices on your PC that were installed incorrectly. Specifically, it will tell you "Some system devices are not functioning properly and may need to be reinstalled." But WHICH programs are at fault? Here's how to find out. First, click on "View Full Report" at the bottom of your System Analysis. This report will identify the programs that are corrupt and need to be reinstalled. Then, scroll down on the full report until you see "Devices Experiencing Problems." Here you'll see exactly what's causing issues and you can then uninstall and reinstall as necessary.
Is it possible for webroot tech supoort to close my current account and then I could create a new account with a new e mail address and transfer my current Secure Anywhere Complete key to the new account? Reason I kind of would like to do this is because on my account page the Backup and Password icons are orange and say "Your keycode has now expired. To continue accessing Backups please renew your keycode now, or your data may be lost." This has happen because I had tech support change my current key from an international key one to a local USA key one. I relize its only a cozmedic glitch but it kind of bothers me 😞 lol
I am trying to get some files from my daughter. We are both covered by the same Webroot Anywhere Complete licence. She uploads files to her archive. How can she give me access to get the files?

I seem to be having similar problems. It take almost 10 minutes for the page to open and after that it is unresponsive and will not let me click anything. I disabled admin for the program but it still wont respond. Is there any other way to get it to respond so i can update it. **edit for useful subject line and to move to proper forum
All I can find is a single file called "WRSA.exe" in "C:Program FilesWebroot" on my 64-bit machine? Seriously? Only one executable? No DLLs or extra files? I'm very surprised here. Other software I've used has tons of other files including DLLs, driver files, etc.
I will be upgrading to WSA Complete in a few months (Just before this keycode expires). There are a few accounts I have that require a double log in. Good example would be Bank of America. Window 1: User sign in. Window 2: Passcode. Does WSA Complete log into accounts with this type of log in?
There used to be little icons on files and folders that were backed up.I just noticed these icons are missing from all my backed up files etc. Would really like to have them back because they were so helpfull keeping tract of what I've backed up. Can you help?
Hi Apologies if this has already been addressed. I did search all of support. I have noticed that recently WebRoot has started to display the same Threats Detected message about the same three items. There is nothing listed in my quarantined items folder. To clear the message I run a deep scan and the scan result shows "3 threats found". WebRoot informs me that they are categorized as W32.Malware.Gen. I wish to keep the files. (Besides, I have researched the three items online and found that they are often reported as false positives). I de-select them all, and confirm that they are all highlighted in the Allow column. The system then does a final scan and everything is fine. Until I get the same Threats detected message about the same three items. Am I missing something? Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to change a setting? Please help because it is beginning to get annoying. Many thanks Andy
