A Webroot Scan said I had Malware in VyprVPN, so I eliminated it: turns out it was a False Positive, now, I can’t Re-Install VyprVPN, it keeps Crashing, I tried to enter Exclusions but I don’t know how and I NEED my VPN back! Is there a Fix for this?

Has anybody seen this pop up?  I think its phishing, I have run a webroot scan multiple times and it tells me my machine is clear.  How can I get rid of this thing?  It keeps popping up! 

Hi,I use Firefox as my web browser. When I try to use if when I’m connect to WiFi Security, I get a notice from Firefox that it can’t find the server.When I disconnect from WiFi Security, Firefox works fine.Any idea what’s going on here? 

Frequently when Webroot does a scan on its own initiative (at least I think it’s a scan), I’m told there may be a memory leak, attributed, I believe, to Chrome. I just did a scan right after re-booting, and did not receive notification of a memory leak. But is scan the only function I should try? I seem to remember that there are other processes I could run. Are there? What else should I try? Thanks for your help.

I have no idea how to resolve these issues. system analyser results show that I have low graphics RAM, my private information is stored in system cookies and there are available updates I haven't installed.Any help would be grreatly appreciated

hello and the root has been a great security program,,,not sure my problem is root related,,,root says low ram,,,i has 16 gig 4sticks of 4gig,,,   2. windows wont recognize the processor or the ram in system view where it tells about what you have.    any help would be greatly appreciated ,,,thanks  

I have a Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10. I installed Webroot SecureAnyWhere, version says 9.0.8.80. Task Manager says Webroot is running in 32 bit mode. Did I do something wrong?

If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. I use Firefox, Edge, and Chrome browsers; all three receive the same error message.  Eight months ago I was able to post in the forum.  Others are posting.  The site is up and running.  I’m in contact with the site admin. Can it be Webroot?

Hi All, I am calling the reports end point and it’s return only 6 endpoints, I have checked I have 7 active endpoints. or is there any way I can call the inactive endpoints using the API.If anybody can help?Thanks,  

we bought a new copy of webroot for a laptop and want to update the desktop with the new software. However, the old copy of webroot (purchased about 2 years ago) wants to renew the existing copy.  

For the past couple of weeks I have been getting alerts on my laptop from Webroot telling me that it’s blocking this or that app from linking to the Internet because it does not trust the apps.The silly part of this is that it is telling me that it does not trust apps such as Chrome or apps that come as part of the Win 10 package. Examples below.It takes three or four clicks on the “Always allow” button to get rid of the alert.The next day it comes back again.Okay, so it’s not a fatal problem, but is very irritating. And plainly there is something wrong.Does anyone know how to fix this?  Alternatively, does anyone know how to get the attention of Support, who so far have not bothered to respond? 

Hello, Webroot Community.I run Webroot utilities every morning in order to keep things clean on my Windows 10 (Dell) desktop PC.I click on the Save Report button, which saves the report on my desktop.  I’d like to configure Webroot to place the report file into a folder which I specify.  Please offer suggestions.  Thanks.

Is there a way to automatically send reports on a weekly interval(7 days). Our client wants to get a report weekly to see who’s already finished and not with the training.

I have been using the WebRoot PC security software for six years and renewing on a yearly basis.  I recently renewed for 1 year in January 2023.  Suddenly in late February 2023, a message is displayed on the WebRoot console message window stating that the subscription is expired, even though the status window still shows that the subscription is “Active” and the pc is “Protected”.  A second popup window also shows the subscription expired, renew now message.  I contacted customer support and the agent, although friendly, was unable to solve the issue.  He wanted to “remote in” to my computer, which I was extremely leery of.  He finally told me to ignore the erroneous messages as long as the software was running ok.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get rid of the erroneous message?  

Repro for this error is very simple: open Chrome with Web Threat Shield extension installed, F12 to open dev tools, CTRL+SHIFT+M for emulator, choose any iOS device, reload page, extension file content_scripts/main.js:17 throws ‘Uncaught ReferenceError: browser is not defined’.A minor annoyance, but one I’d be very grateful for a fix for. Sorry if this is in the wrong sub-forum, I wasn’t sure which was most appropriate.

Hello,From 136 malware samples in my PC, Webroot detected ...3. How do you guys stay in business?????

I’m dealing with a domestic abuse case with a cybersecurity architect and just found out he’s been living a double life with another woman for the last 4 years. He has always threatened he can get into my cameras at home, phones, and monitor me via my Wi-Fi. I’ve also found suspicious apps installed on devices like my fire tv and phone, and was wondering if anyone could help me prove his actions and trace them even if he has access to many cybersecurity resources and IP masking apps. 

This is a bit more complicated than the error message about Tor and XPCOM but it’s a major part.  About four or five days ago I tried to open Tor Browser on one of my two laptops.  Immediately, instead, a WebRoot message appeared that said it had detected a virus in XPCOM but (probably misremebering) only had one option and that was to delete the virus.  From that point on every time opening Tor it began to open but then that error message Cannot Load XPCOM.  Decided to delete Tor and reinstall it.  In Win11 Settings I looked for it under Apps but nothing even close to Tor was listed.  Looked for it in File Explorer but again no listing.  Went back to the desktop and right clicked the Tor Browser and told WebRoot to completely erase it.  Tried again for the Start Tor link.  All of the Tor links are still there and work save for XPCOM.  Tried to just download a new program but even that stopped at an XPCOM error.  Tried to download the program file with a slightly different file name

Any help would be very much appreciated.I inherited support of a server that has webroot secureanywhere running on it.  I am unable to install SQL Server because of a registry conflict with webroot secureanywhere, but I have no ability to uninstall webroot secureanywhere. Webroot does not appear anywhere in the uninstall list under control panel There is no WRSA.exe file anywhere on the computer The only files I have are under webroot\core and the uninstall option did not work with any of those Webroot secure anywhere appears 4 times in the task manager including WRSkyClient and WRCoreService.  If I try to end the task it does not end. ​​​​​​Is there any for of stand alone uninstaller or any other way to remove webroot from my system?

I’ve had WR Complete installed on 3 laptops for the past year and each is set to expire in 4 days.  I just bought a “download” renewal subscription that I thought would provide a new keycode.  Instead it only provides a link to the wsinstall.exe installation app which, when clicked on, only opens my currently-installed Webroot app..How do I find my new keycode?Thanks,     

How can I tell if an email is safe before I open it?

Sent a support ticket 9 days ago...no response. After a long wait on hold today I finally got through to someone that verified what I suspected. There is a BUG they are working on specifically with Android Version 12 UI Version 4.1. There is no information on when this BUG will be fixed. I hope this post will help or save you some time if you are encountering the same issues.

We have installed Webroot on over 100 machines in our company, and only a few have issues with newly created or modified files.Webroot locks the newly created file and doesn't allow it to open until rebooting the computer.I found this topic (Windows 10 Fall Creator Update - Bug Fix | Webroot Community) where you describe the same issue and want to know if it must be fixed by patch or if it is already included in new versions because this topic was created five years ago. Thank you.
