Unable to log in since new platform change - how to get an authentication code

I am a home user - renewed my license several months ago. It looks as though login process changed in early December. I’m unable to login now because, while I have a email, password, and keycode, I am hitting a page asking for an authentication code. How do I get this code? Or, what am I doing wrong? Without it, can’t log in. Spent 45 minutes on hold trying to reach tech support. Thanks!

Event Viewer - Error with WRSkyClient.x64.exe

I just checked my Event Viewer (Windows Logs>>Application) and noticed errors regarding Webroot. The following 2 errors each appear at least several hundred times: Product: Core -- Error 1721. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action: CA_WRSKYCLIENT_UNREGISTER, location: C:\Program Files\Webroot\Core\WRSkyClient.x64.exe, command: -unregserver Product: Core -- Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action CA_WRCA_INSTALL, location: C:\windows\Installer\MSI389D.tmp, command: /Install "C:\Program Files\Webroot\Core\\" Is this a problem with Webroot, or just my installation of Webroot. Yesterday I tried to install my webroot I got with a new computer from best buy. I got an error message that said code was correct but something was preventing webroot from installing … gave me a number to call. I called number and speak to tech, he says that my settings in my network were set to public and i had 31 devices connecting. He had me click on the support box on the webroot screen and I allowed him access to computer to fix the problem. It was my understanding this was a webroot tech… but when he was done and my webroot was installed he wanted to sell me this firewall protection and lifetime webroot subscription and that he worked for a company that was called Tekwire. Said I didn’t have to pay anything right now and am supposed to decide today? I have no idea what is happening. Anyone heard of this ?

After scanning, I got the following notices. 1. Graphic ram is low. 2. Temporary files found which may be slowing the computer down 3. Private info may be stored in cookies. I don’t know if these are important and don’t know how to fix any of them. Any suggestions? Thanks, DJH

Been using Webroot for years / Big fan. Any free protection APP's that might make me more secure, while still using webroot?

My Lenovo laptop,came with Webroot...works better than previous anti viruses.Renewed twice so far…. But curious,Anybody have any suggestions on a free program that will bolster my security….YET NOT MESS WITH MY WEBROOT! Anti-malware/adware,etc….No product is perfect,but Webroot has come closer than any I used before.

Webroot for old Macs

I have a 6 year old mac. Still works fine. I uninstalled Webroot. Then reinstalled it and i’m told my version of Mac OSX is too old. I’ve tried installing a new operating system on my mac but my mac is too old. Do i need to buy a new mac to use webroot? Can i access an older version of webroot as i still have a 1 year Webroot subscription to use

What originated as a bug has left the messaging app critically flawed for upwards of three months, with no clear signs of resolution, as even new versions of the app have been unable to rectify the problem. Don't be an Invoice Scam Victim!

These days criminals will try anything to scam you out of your hard-earned money. The scam below was recently reported to us by a Webroot user and we have had a few additional calls about it as well. It’s simply an email with a fake invoice receipt that appears to come from an email address posing as Webroot. The invoice has a phone number with an +1 833-area code to call in case of any questions (which of course you will have if you think $499.99 has been automatically charged to your credit card)! The scam is simple: You call the number and dispute the charges. The scammer at the other end of the line says, YES it’s a mistake in Webroot’s systems, sorry etc. They can refund you right away, can you provide your credit card information in order to reverse the charges. They use your credit card details to do their worst with your money! I’m using Google Chrome web browser and when I input my HP printer URL in order to enable web services, I get the NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID saying the site is not secure. Where do I go to allow this site or to tag it as safe?

Where can I turn off the control of the file folders

I had my computer in to do a wipe and reistall of WIN 10. It seems some new functions have been added to control my file folders.I tried to delete temp files I was working on and Webroot blocked me and would not show the normal dropdown to delete. I let Restoro get into my computer yesterday. They said I had over 1270 error and warning messges, a Trojan Horse and Malicious Malware. They said I had to pay more than the $29.75 to have all the problems removed. I’m worried I should not have had them in my computer. Can they steal my identity?
