Have been with webroot 7 years with no major problems. Until this week.My search engine has been changed and I don't know how or why.From Google to Yahoo.......and tried everything to fix it with no success.Including System Restore to previous months without any luck.Anyone have any experience with anything like this ? THANKS

Followed previously mentioned posts about uninstalling IE11 and Webroot, rebooting and re-installing webroot worked for 1 reboot cycle.  Now, with IE11 uninstalled, the issue persists on reboot.  This is greatly slowing down the startup process as it hangs in the background for about 2 minutes before presenting the UAC.

 Apple has released macOS Big Sur beta 8 to those who are beta testing the macOS release. Usually developer betas come out first and are soon followed by public beta releases. Although beta system software is typically less stable than final stable versions, anyone with a Big Sur compatible Mac can install the public beta of Big Sur if they want to. Hello,We have taken an old pc from storage and are using it. Still works great after 5 years and will all upgrades. Way back when WR basic was FREE and came highly recommended, now it’s no longer free as it appears to have been absorbed by another company.We are seniours, we are trying to uninstall to no avail. I.T. pro helping a buddy with his WIN7 desktop (I know, I know - I tried).  WIN7 HOME PREMIUMi3, 4 GB RAM Webroot has never been an issue until this started, and it started with a missing SYSTRAY icon (no, not hidden, missing) WRSA is the only thing running, no SYSTRAY icon. Cannot launch app, nothing opens.Uninstall wants ADMIN RIGHTS. First: How we have Webroot. We had a service provide Optimum Networking install it. They have the console to monitor virus protection.   Ask them to remove they said 5 did not unistall but our tracking systemDesktop central has over 80 installed and the different versions. It also tells me the root directory installed and all but one is in the program files (x86) Using “C:\Program Files (x86)\Webroot\WRSA.exe" –uninstall I have attempted Three pc’s so far and no successes and all acted this same way. Have no physical access to the pc as we are all at home but can remote with admin rights. Tried even with a admin cmd line console.  Very difficult to enter safe mode. Our remote access tool does not work in safe mode.  What happens with remoting in and running the cammand, it does run, and goes to an enter a capticia , complete it, and then nothing.  Turn off no other screens. Unable to log in to manage account.  Not receiving “reset password” emails.  On hold 63 minutes for customer service, hold music eventually turned into busy signal and call dropped shortly afterward.  Submitted service message nearly 64 hours ago, no response.Can anyone here escalate or offer other suggestions?  We’re adding a new computer for school and I really need to shuffle things around in our multi-device plan to be sure everyone in the family has coverage on the devices they should.Webroot needs to ramp up remote customer service staffing during COVID.  Happy with the product through the years, but these are really unacceptable wait times!

My Webrootanywhere has been corrupted somehow, and it may have been due to a scammer I mistakenly allowed online 1 week ago. It was a fake warning alert from Amazon, stating that my account had been hacked and that I should call this number: 1 888-655-2507. They alleged that my firewall was allowing trojans in and pointed to the crss.exe program in the Task Manager. This appears to be a common ruse by scammers. I mentioned that I was running WebRoot, and I believe I ran it successfully once since then, but again.Now, every time I boot up my PC, Windows (7) is asking for Webroot to make changes to my computer. Hi, I downloaded my free Webroot 1 year subscription on my new Chromebook HP and it is now showing me a message that says that I need to download the Web Secure app. When I try to do this I get a message saying "this app is not compatible with your device". Where do I go from here? How do I download the Web Secure app on my device?

Attempts to put in a ticket for the problem have failed. The program will not open and will not allow me to uninstall it even in Admin. mode. The reinstall fails every time. I requested an email to change the password, never received an email. Requested a ticket 2 days ago and never received an email. I complained on Facebook and the bot just told me to put in a ticket or call the support number. I think we’ve all had enough of trying to communicate with some person from India or wherever only to have it fail anyway.This company is screwed up and we want a refund so we can try our luck with another program. Since these D-bags can’t be bothered to do anything right, after we’ve been customers since 2013.  Sorry to rant and whine, but these people clearly don’t give a damn about their customers and this service deserves to fail.
