Webroot Mobile

Lately whenever I run device maintenance my Samsung tablet / Android keeps telling me that antivirus is not installed...  I click on fix and it keeps telling me that I need to enable McAfee. I have Webroot running and that's what I prefer to use.  How do I stop device maintenance from popping this up. It should also be known that my tablet is running a bit slowly and takes a few seconds to respond sometimes...it's annoying.

This was the first purchase I made on my phone...but whatever I do, it tells me that I meed to upgrade to premium. I already have premium. To make it worse I can't find a way to simply call the company, instead It's a Community Forum?? I would think that this is all a scam if it wasnt for having Webroot on my laptop for three years...   What am I supposed to do? I paid for premium but nothing happened, there was no change, and it insists that I need to pay for Premium... Please help.   (The purchase did go through and its listed in my Google play. Running Android.)

SecureAnywhere preformed a scan found the threat   Android.Scanner1.Bad Retail Demo Mode com.customermobile.preload.vzw   And I cannot remove it by clicking the 'Remove Threat' button. Repeating the scan continues to find this threat and doesn't let me fix it. Appreciate any advice you can provide .  Using a Google Pixel phone with latest OS.

Hello.  New the community and need help.  Received message of a threat.  Selected fix this after review of threat, and program will not respond.  Error messages was something along the lines of a Trojan- "Android Easter Egg". Webroot seems to be stuck and wont move past this.  I tried to recant and it came back to this original error message.  I'm on the verge of uninstalling this app and reinstalling.  Any suggestions? 

Hello,   I have a Zenfone ZE520kl with the last version of Secure Antivirus free installed on it.   Till a few days ago I had Nougat 7.0 on it and the SMS and calls block function worked like a charm.   Then I updated it on Oreo (version 8.0).   Last day I received an SMS from a blocked number. The antivirus alerted me that an unwanted SMS was sent to me from a blocked sender but the SMS was there, together with the other not-blocked ones. In the past I only received the warning from Webroot , the SMS was not delivered to me.   While it can seem a "no biggie" for SMS (also if it should need to be brought back to the old behaviour)  I'm wondering about the calls.......   what if a blocked sender calls me? If the calls block doesn't work in the same way the SMS one, that can be a problem.   Thanks in advance for your help   Best Regards

I am having an issue with Webroot SecureAnywhere 5.1.0.17796 & the Device Maintenance app  2.0.11.4 on a Samsung Galaxy S6 running Android 7.0.   The issue below only started happening after the Webroot SecureAnywhere 5.1.0.17796 was installed. When I start the Device Maintenance app, Webroot pops up over the top, I close Webroot., start the Storage or Memory modules of Device Maintenance app and Webroot pops up over the top.   I have unistalled and reinstalled Webroot and cleaned the system cache. I unistalled the updates to the Device Maintenance app, use the older version and no issues with Webroot.  

I installed the SecureAnywhere on an S8 for both my wife and myself. On my wife's I was able to sign into the software and it created a console for me. I then went to sign into the SecureAnywhere software on my own S8. I choose the option "I already have an account" and then enter my creds. I get an error: Account creation failed. The license check server returned an invalid response. Unexpected: 1 Error(URFM998): Console creation has been exceeded [FailureType=UnexpectedError(-1)].   I should mention that in business I'm a webroot partner and I have a business Webroot console under the same credentials. When I log into my.webrootanywhere.com I am able to see my business console or my personal console.    Any suggestions on how to fix this error and allow me to add my second device to the same console?

I am getting a notice  that my Secure Anywhere Solution Agreement has changed and I have to click AGREE to accept the modified terms and agreement.  Is this legit?

I have a handful of users on Mobile Protection, only two of whom have an iOS device. In the portal, the iOS devices go amber and report "WebRoot iOS agent is not running". The app on the phone, however, reports the phone is protected and all is okay.   According to WebRoot support, after a period of time, iOS will stop the app from communicating, presumably for performance or battery life considerations. Even then, the app appears to be running normally on the phone.   Also according to WebRoot support, when the agent is not reporting into the portal, the Scream and Location features are not available, though the other features are (Lock, Wipe, Password).   The suggested remedy is to have users open the app daily, or restart the phone daily, to keep the app communicating. I view this solution as lacking, and wonder about the opinion of other WebRoot Business users  on the iOS Mobile Protection agent.   My clients

For what seems like the fifth time in as many months, Webroot has greeted me with a "You may be at risk" Alert on my Android Device. OK! Except, as it turns out I was NEVER actually at risk, it was just my security provider, LYING to me and apparently using SCARE TACTICS to get me to agree to changes in contract terms. Webroot is supposed to be protecting me, not BULLYING me. The mixed message is frustrating and confusing. If you need me to agree to new contract terms, please simply ask me to do so. Alarming me with a notice that is completely unrelated smacks of practices commonly used by cyber-criminals to phish. By using the "you may be at risk" to deliver an otherwise benign message make it sound like a threat. Like you intend to PUT my device at risk if I don't agree to terms. Frankly I'm shocked that apparently, no red flags have gone off at Webroot over this. At the very least, this whole practice is both passive-aggressive and just a bit on the greasy side of

I'm getting a warning from webroot that my Gear S Plugin is a Trojan. The plugin is for the Samsung Galaxy S series smart watch and is downloaded automatically and directly from Samsung. Could this be a false positive? Is anyone else have this issue?  Thanks, Ken

They advertise access to thousands of games when you buy their Android game controller but they dont advertise that you have to give their app permission to basically be a virus for access to all their best game features. How is this legal? Consumer Affairs time? See pic  

Hello, The android maintenance warning that some app is consuming too much of my S9 battery and CPU. When I opened up the maintenance warning, it show only one item and that is the SecurityAnywhere is draining my battery is a fast rate. The phone feel very warm and overheat. I have to let the phone maintenance to stop the SecurityAnywhere. However, after a day or 2, this happened again. Do anyone has any idea why this is happening and any tips to resolve this problem. I'm afraid if I let this go on, I lost the security protection and also my S9 battery might eventully burns out. Thanks  

 I get a message "A secure connection could not be established to this site. Would you like to proceed?  NO   YES  Does not matter if you hit yes or no it just goes about like normal either way. Have looked for answers high and low but only find things that do not relate to this error. Have tried restarting my wifi,phone etc. This is also happening on my wife's identical model. Anyone know what is going on? 

had my s8 for say 5 months with webroot secure anywhere installed for same time but online account console for mobile security phone is not detected, i click add device but basically tells me how to install to phone which ive already done months ago

Before I install WebRoot on our Android devices:   Webroot requires every Android permission I can imagine.  Does Webroot only use these for my scanning, and protection?  OR- does webroot collect some information for their own purposes?   According to WebRoot's privacy statement, WebRoot can collect and share my personal information for its own business purposes, including sharing with third-parties.  That's not something with which I am comfortable.  I hate spyware.  The thought that I just paid for some irks me.  Set me straight.   Well, since posting above, I have been doing some searches on the Web, but WebRoot already knows that. I had Mobile Security and Mobile Web Browser on my Galaxy S6. I recently upgraded to a G9+ and Mobile Security works fine (shows my keycode, etc) but the Mobile Web Browser Menu is barely readable and won't let me log in. Please help

5/1/18 Same problem here.  Paid $50 + tax (supposedly for 1 year), yet, after it was installed successfully on a Laptop, it STOPS ME at every stage on my Mobile Cell (Samsung Android)....I used the same many-digit Key code on the Cell, and it said, "successful," yet when I logged in (1st time), it rejected my name, my Email, my password...led me to reregister,  which still didn't  hrlp; led me to change Password page,  and,WebRoot still would not allow any movement forward.  I'm desperate for advice, and by the way, I' m sick and tired of these "auto-1-way" Help menus and "self-taught" instructions. Maybe I shoild direct my money paid to go thru all these steps before paid; then I think there would be some real help.  Any suggestions and directions HERE? Android 8.0 Oreo revamps "Install from Unknown Sources" from the device level to an individual app level. Last week I downloaded the Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade (Verizon OTA) onto my Google Pixel phone and since then, Webroot's Android app has been giving the security warning that the "Unknown Sources" setting is Unsafe.    There's no way to fix this in the existing Webroot Android app (production and beta) since "Install from Unknown Sources" is no longer part of the Android's Security setting on the whole device level.  It is now a per individual app setting in the App Notifications setting.   For more info on Android 8.0 Oreo "install from unknown sources" changes:  https://www.androidcentral.com/android-o-unknown-sources "Here's why sideloading apps is safer with Android Oreo"   Patr

Mobile Protection Updates   On March 15, Google will release version 66 of the Chrome browser to beta testers. They expect a public release date of April 17.    We are working toward full compatibility. However, the Webroot mobile device management console is not yet supported for Chrome v.66. In the interim, we recommend you use a different browser to manage mobile devices.

Hello everybody,   I just bought a Galaxy Tab S2 2016 tablet, the 9.7" with wifi and 4G lte version and  QXGA resolution.   The OS was already upgraded to Nougat 7.0. Since I like to have Webroot protection on my devices I immediately went to Play Store to install Webroot and also if I probably could install it since the install button was available on the main page, where I have the install option, there was a green label saying that the product "could not be optimized for my device". Other android antivirus did not have this warning. Could someone give me some info about it? Can I simply ignore the thing and install Webroot or else................. Thanks in advance Best Wishes

My WSA Complete sub has been renewed the subscription number has been entered into my console but the phone still indicates that the subscription has expired. The console also shows the same. The renewal was done through Webroot.
