Firefox is opened in a sandbox (Sandboxie) with Webroot SecureAnywhere running.  When Firefox is updated I go through a 4 minute process that allows this.  Sometimes Firefox will not open.  I would View Status on Webroot, click “Identity Protection” and select tab “Application Protection”.  Firefox would be set to “Protect”.  Changing that to “Allow” resolved the issue.Recently Firefox was updated, then Webroot was updated, Firefox would not load.  No problem….  However, now “Application Protection” no longer exists so, to run Firefox I must shut down Webroot. In Running Processes, Firefox is marked “Allow” but that has always been the case when Firefox was running.  Customer Support has not responded to my query.  I’m hoping there is a solution.

I'm fairly new to using the PC application and as far as I can check and understand, it only records what software/app I have opened. Is there a way to check the websites accessed through any of my browsers? Thanks 

My brother’s Windows 11 laptop is infected with a search engine virus called searchgoose. The laptop has Webroot installed on it, but it’s unable to remove the virus. How do I remove searchgoose with webroot? Or do I have to try an alternate method?

Microsoft locked my account. Said I violated their policies when I did a sync between my PC and my cloud account. I filled out the form to unlock it, got a number 2 months ago and that was the last I have heard from them. Can’t log in to my outlook.com account, calendar, nothing. What can I do? It is like no one in Security exists. No way to correspond with them, customer service says they can’t even reach out to the security team. I have literally 100s of files stored in the cloud. The only ones I can do anything with are the few that synced to my PC before they cut me off!

I am trying to run Saints Row the Third on a PC with hardware that is way above manufacturer specifications, but performance is utter crap because the game keeps trying to connect to a server that no longer exists, and the only way to fix that is to edit the hosts file to point it at a different address that eliminates the problem. However, WRSVC has its grubby little paws on that damned file, and I can’t get it to let it the Hell go; the file is open, and I can’t close it. Webroot has no damned reason for preventing me from doing what needs to be done. The hosts file isn’t even used by any application but this game; I want to add a single line of functional code to what is basically a Remarks file that literally has no other use!The only way I can think of to edit this damned file is to install Linux, boot it up in that operating system, and make the necessary change there, but that’s absolu

I made the mistake of wiping my old computer clean without uninstalling software like Webroot. Back in the day you could login to your account and deactivate old computers when you buy a new computer. This doesn’t seem to be possible anymore. Can anyone tell me a way to do this? I’ve already followed the KBarticle link from  6 years ago in an old post and it’s no longer relevant.

I replaced Norton with Webroot. Now whenever I’m online in Microsoft I get false pop-ups that indicate that I -1 have active virus infections and must reinstall Norton ASAP. I’ve run many webroot re views and all are fine. I’m working on a 3-year old HP and in Windows 10. I’ve tired cookie deletes and pop-up blocks to no avail. How can I stop these annoying messages?

Can Webroot protect the endpoint if any new malware has been in to the system through USB, CD/DVD drives or any new suspicious file or program been added to the system while the system is offline and cannot be connected to the Internet for a long time.

I’ve recently come back to Webroot after a few months away. Since installing Webroot, when starting up or restarting, I get a prompt from Windows asking if I want Webroot to make changes. I always click yes, and startup continues. It’s the same prompt one gets when installing or updating a new app. It never did this before. I don’t know if it’s a new protocol from Webroot or yet another oddity from Microsoft. I would like it to stop, but have no clue what to do. Any suggestion is appreciated.Ed LeRoy

In the 'Program Data' directory there is a subfolder called "WRData". I assume that is Webroot's data.On one server this folder is 30 GB and we are space constrained. Is there anything I can do to reduce the size of this folder?

I’m using Microsoft Edge.   I’m not using Internet Explorer.   This message is showing up as a Webroot System Analyzer warning in yellow.What can I do to fix this?   

Several of my friends that I have turned on to Webroot, are questioning  the  nag screen on the Application, regarding Allstate. Is this being offered to all Webroot customers or in the United States only? Hello there, Is there a way to remove computers from Deactivated Endpoints list? I have found a thread about similiar subject from 9 years ago. It says that i need contact support . Was there any changes regarding this method in passing monthsl?

In seven years WebRoot has never scanned my computer then reported a threat found.   Is the system catching threats prior to infecting my computer and not taking credit for blocking them…. seven years of zero threats makes me wonder what I’m paying for.

Just sent email to Webroot support regarding the company’s inability to provide protection for Samsung S22 phone and S8 tablet.  Accessed this Community and learned from related topics that as of 11 days ago there seemed to be no fix for the problem.  I have been dealing with it since May 2022 since these were only 2 of 7 devices for which protection had been purchased.  However, it’s time to renew.  Don’t want to continue with a cap in the protection shield.  HAS ANYONE FOUND A PROTECTION SOFTWARE THAT WILL COVER THESE DEVICES?  Also need to protect in the same package 3 Windows based computers and an older Samsung phone that can already access the Webroot app.  Please share a good answer.

I am lookin for something that I can input my daily food intake and then have a cohesive look at that aspect of my health. Presently I am trying to write it down in a note book but I discovered there are actual food log apps and even free food log apps I am concerned about you know signing up at another web site or having another app o my smart phone that could be something a hacker could take advantage of in a negative way. Or is just having Webroot on my computer enough?  Any help much appreciated thank you

For your information in case others have this. Several days ago I began getting popup notifications in the upper right corner of my screen that would last about 1 to 2 seconds. The time between them varied from about every 30 minutes to about every hour and I could not associate it with any apps I was using. It was giving me warnings and there were several different ones, for examples:  “Your computer is being hacked”, “ You have malware in your computer”, “Your iCloud account is being hacked”,  “Your Bank Of America Account is being hacked”. That was a good one because I don’ thave an account with them, proving it was false notification.   I contacted Webroot Technical on three consecutive days and each time I allowed them control of my computer to determine the problem.
