False Popup Notifications on MacBook

For your information in case others have this. Several days ago I began getting popup notifications in the upper right corner of my screen that would last about 1 to 2 seconds. The time between them varied from about every 30 minutes to about every hour and I could not associate it with any apps I was using. It was giving me warnings and there were several different ones, for examples: “Your computer is being hacked”, “ You have malware in your computer”, “Your iCloud account is being hacked”, “Your Bank Of America Account is being hacked”. That was a good one because I don’ thave an account with them, proving it was false notification. I contacted Webroot Technical on three consecutive days and each time I allowed them control of my computer to determine the problem. The first two failed. They third, Jeffery, found it. Icon There is an icon on the task portion of my computer which looks like 2 squares, one black another which partly superimpose the black square is see through whitish that wnen cliked opens to Webroot. Why?

There is an icon in my task bar that looks like 2 squares, one black, the other see through whitish superimposing the black that opens to Webroot when clicked and I cant delete or remove from task bar, why?

Can't Contact anyone in Sales

Hi Community,Our Business Endpoint Protection is scheduled to renew next week. I no longer have a company credit card to renew, however the only option I see using the online renewal is to pay via credit card.I sent multiple emails and left several voice mail messages at Webroot over the last few weeks and even opened a ticket to see if I could get someone to call me. The support people just say to contact sales and that they will have a salesperson contact me. Nobody at Webroot has contacted me yet? Any thoughts? This is very weird?

black screen

I play an online casino game. While in the middle of playing one of the games the screen suddenly goes black even though I am still logged into the casino game. When the reload button comes on it will not reload. I have to exit completely and sign back in to the game. So far this black screen has not affected any other action.

I just had a bogus flashing warning on my browser window about my system being compromised. Thanks (once again) to Webroot for protecting my system! Authentication versus Security Code - alike or different?

On occasion a review of account details with Webroot is preferred for security………… After the insertion of the email registered along with the password, the next block asks for an authentication code……….. When entering the security code the process blocks out the entries, then after three attempts forces a 15 minute lapse………. If a corrective entry is made during the Forgotten Password function, the process remains the same and will not allow valid entry………. Apparently there is a missing link to gain access for reviewing the WebRoot account…..

I have webroot and I paid for my subscription yet I can't scan my phone. It's on the account yet there is no way that shows how to scan. I have called and been through the runaround. Why can't I scan to check for viruses?

Hi I am enquiring if the address associated with my Community Profile can be changed to another email address? After install webroot on machine with win7 the OS doesn’t start. I have been install it on 22 machine with win7 and they work ok only in 2 machine OS doesn’t start after installing.Do you have any suggestions?Thanks

Webroot and Malwarebyte Premium

I have Webroot with Geek Squad as they only sponsor Webroot and Trend Micro.I also have Malwarebyte Premium.I have a computer and several years back Geek Squad informed me that they do not sponsor Malwarebyte and it was removed from my computer.I get 3 devices with the Webroot package from Best Buy or Geek Squad.I kept the Webroot on both of my smartphones with the Malwarebyte Premium.My Lg X Charge is getting too old to update so I am going to recycle it.I also have a very Cheap Free Government phone with Assurance Wireless it is a UMX U693CL.This phone has little Memory and very slow upload and download times.I was planning on canceling the Malwarebyte Premium to clear up some space with the memory.However Webroot recently updated the Android App.The new App is basically just the Google Chrome Browser with a scan.The scan is very fast yet it does not show what it is scanning or the results of the scan.The new App also has no Dashboard to show if my shields are on or anything at all.

3 days ago Adobe reader failed and gave a message saying the .dll in the title was not available. I couldn’t fix that after trying for hours. I finally restored my entire C:\ from a backup I had from June.Everything worked although some files I had created since June were missing.Today I am back to getting that same message from Adobe Reader.I went to UN-install Adobe reader, sorted by date of install and discovered that yesterdayFirefox had installed “Mozilla Maintenance Service” and “Mozilla Firefox”.My Webroot scan does not report any problem.This is a Windows7 Pro system. Wifi Security Android Can Login Cannot Connect

I recently repurchased WIFI security for my PCs and Android phone. Since then I have not been able to connect to the VPN via my android phone, although I can login. [b]I uninstalled the app, reinstalled,[/b] logged in successfully, but still cannot connect to the VPN. Also, to complicate things, the Android App had prompted me to "Renew", so I did but it turns out my coverage did not end until October - so I have two keycodes active? Who knows. Also, there is no option on the phone to add a keycode anyhow. I submitted a ticket to support via the phone, but the ticket did not show up in my dashboard. Any help to get the phone to connect to the VPN would be appreciated. Thanks.

Webroot Icon Missing Not able to Open Web root normally

I noticed the Green check marks that appear during searches were missing so I went to the Windows Icon to get to webroot and I had two listings for webroot I deleted one because I thought that the older one was a duplicate or older version. But the webroot that is left is not a shortcut to open the webroot app. When I turn on Computer I get a windows menu box that says how do you want to open file. I think that is the webroot that I have now but it never opens I tried deleting the webroot that shows up in my computer but it will not delete and says there needs to be an app to delete I tried to download Webroot again from internet but it did not open and so I would click on the download and then it would just make copies and so I had like five copies then I tried to delete these copies PLease help thanks

How to remove alert "Sign up for My Account"

Now, after I’ve Signed Up and created a new account on Carbonite+Webroot, because this is where the "Get Started" button led to, the alert keeps appearing down to the right corner of the screen, non stop. This is the text of the alertWebroot "Sign up for My Account Manage Subscriptions, access support and more by creating a My Account profile." How do I stop this alert?

Fake email from friend

Received an email from a close friend with message about linked photos. Link took me to a website about Oprah. When contacted, friend said he did not send email. Upon inspection, found several other similar emails in Span folder from same friend. Question is, if there was a malware or other bad thing attached to the email, can Webroot detect and clear it?

Virus scan starts normally, then, stops at 11% and after a couple of minutes, jumps to 71%.

I don’t know whether my virus scan is functioning properly. I have had the same issue for almost 4 years.
