Duplicate accounts

Webroot has two accounts for me, one of which is expired but still shows up on my account. The other one is active and current through 2025. I cannot access support to have the expired account removed. When I try to open a support ticket or send a message to support, a “Welcome back!” window pops up, saying that Webroot has already had contact with me. There’s a space to enter my password, but when I do nothing happens. Telephoning doesn’t seem to be an actual option. Does anyone know the magic word to get through to Webroot’s support people?Thanks,Ed LeRoy

How do I make sure Webroot allows UDP data on port 50000?

I am using a mod to DCS, a flight simulator program, and I am having trouble getting the mod to work.  The author of the mod stated to me:  “ In any case, you need to make sure that Windows Defender (or any other software) does allow UDP data on port 50000. “how do I do that?

how to remove the old record? 

Hello Guys, I installed the Webroot on the laptop on March 2024 and the agent is function, then the laptop can’t boot to Windows and I reinstalled OS. Now, i installed the agent again. i found there are duplicate record on management console.  May i know how to remove the old record?

Web Threat Shield and Firefox 115.8

I noticed today that the web threat shield on Firefox is graying out. I am using Firefox 115.8. For a second or two the icon will be a check mark then it turns into the greyed icon.

CloudNetCheck.exe Malware or Legit ?

The File CloudNetCheck.exe showed up in my Download folder and I did not download it. Properties show it is from Cloudflare Network Security Provider. I attempted to delete the file from my download folder but can’t as message states it is open in another folder or program. I believe this is some Trojan but my web searches don’t get me a satisfactory answer if this is Malware or not. So here I am. Would a kind soul please inform me if this is Malware and if it is, how can I get rid of it?Thank you very much for any replies.

How do I get McAfee Security Scan Plus off my computer?

I accidentally installed McAfee Security Scan Plus on my computer when installing “Free Acrobat Reader.”  I already have Webroot Security Anywhere that I paid for.  I have tried every single way of removing it including their removal tool. How do I get it off my computer?  I am using Microsoft Windows 10 on a desktop PC.  Thanks for any help!!

HOW DO I CREATE EXCEPTIONS FOR BACKUPS?

I use Ascomp Synchredible to perform multiple backups of files to multiple endpoints every day.  Once WebRoot SecureAnywhere has scanned the files initially I want Synchredible to copy them to the other locations without the hassle of having to tell WebRoot again and again that I have already recovered these files from Quarantine and they are OK.   How do I create an exception in WebRoot that will ignore my use of this software?Also - I find that the majority of the files that WebRoot flags are OK - so I first have to restore them from Quarantine and THEN I have to change the block/allow from Ignore to MONITOR.  Is there a way to force WebRoot to assign the MONITOR flag to all these files so I don’t have to waste time over and over again?  I have made numerous suggestions to the company to make this a feature that can be set by the customer over the years but no action on their part.BTW - I’ve been a WebRoot guy forever and have it installed on at least 10 systems so these small issues

Possible threat

Webroot recently said there was a threat detected. I scanned and it found mxcrashreport.exe / maxthon5. The thing of it is, I haven’t been on this computer as admin in a while. A relative does have a guest account. I will double check and see if that guest account says there is a threat although I would thing threat is a threat regardless of which account.I googled the aforementioned threat and it didn’t see any reporting that it was a threat. Anyway, can you explain some of this. thanks.

I have a five device license for Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus. In the My Devices list at https://myaccount.carbonite.com/security, I don’t own two of the devices shown anymore. How do I remove those devices from the list so I can install Webroot on additional devices?Thanks!

Scanner won't send wirelessly to computer

A couple months ago my scanner stopped sending wirelessly to my computer.  I don’t scan all that much which is why I haven’t dealt with the problem before.  The scanner works fine when a cable is connected to the computer.  It is definitely a wireless communication problem.  I have no trouble sending a print document wirelessly.  The printer is an HP so I ran their fixit utility.  It claimed to have solved the problem (it didn’t) and that the problem was a device protection was enabled that needed to be switched off.  Running Windows 10.  As mentioned before, all was working well up until a couple of months ago.  About this time I replaced my WiFi router so there may be some relation there, but I don’t think that’s the problem.  I am running Webroot Secure Anywhere and Webroot WiFi security. In searching the web for solutions, one person who had the same problem was running Bitdefender and the problem was traced to needing to allow an exception to a MAC address or something.  Hence my

Our website suntechnology dot org was affected by malware a year ago. We scraped the old source code and deleted the associated hosting account six months ago.Your Server is still blocking our domain and giving warning messages to visitors. Found AnyDesk icon in hidden icons

Perhaps I am being a bit paranoid, but I was recently scammed by a 3rd party resulting in my having to have Webroot reinstalled. I just noticed that in the list of hidden icons, there is AnyDesk which is what the scammer had used. If this is a program that normally comes with Windows 11, alright. If not, how on earth do I remove it? I don't fancy anyone having access to my computer without my knowledge. Many thanks to all!
