The printers connect successfully, however when they try to print to them the jobs seem to disappear. Attempting to print again, the printer shows offline in the session even though the Windows 7 OS can communicate with the printer fine. We disabled all functionality with Webroot and the issue persists, however when we flat out uninstall it printing from Citrix works as expected. We have added exclusions for the spooler folder and the Citrix installation folder with no luck. Any advice or feedback is appreciated as this is holding up a deployment of 2000 seats. Edited update: The printers are connected via network using a mixture of both TCP/IP ports and HP Proprietary ports.
We have Sality infections spreaded over 350+ endpoints. Webroot support simply suggested to re-image endpoints - which is obviously the latest thing we want to do. Some endpoints (the file servers and some clients) we cleaned with ESET/Kaspersky boot CDs. ESET/Kaspersky found 100-600 infected files per endpoint, one files server had 68.000+ infected files that Webroot did not find! but still the company cannot work as infected endpoints reinfect file shares, and then from file shares even cleaned PCs got reinfected again. We use Webroot on the servers, too, and it does not stop reinfection of shared folders! We think maybe we should do a full scan with Webroot on all endpoints, but we cannot see any agent commandfor that in the console. How could we command Webroot to do a FULL scan on all endpoints in the Management Console? Any other idea how to get rid of Sality?
Where can I go to verify whether or not Webroot detects the current Wannacry malware? I've tried checking the kb and blog but no info. You'd think with this being a global news story, Webroot would have published something specifically on this by now?
Been having DWP notifications for parked domains when Cortana is turned on lately
Looking for a script to use with Webroot Cloud (Mulit-tenant) that will download a client specific installer and run it silently. Current we are using the GreaterIntel plugin with Kaseya, and are looking at options for performing installs without one or both.
Any ideas on how to get it resolved? (the type of computer i have is a Lenovo laptop)
First let me say I followed the deactivation instructions to the letter and all the devices were deactivated. Deactivation is not my problem. I have 4 devices with webroot installed. A few days ago I was checking my account and found 7 devices listed in Security. Some were duplicates and 1 device was not listed. I first did virus scans with webroot on all 4 devices then checked in my security list for the dates of the latest scahns. Only 1 device was showing the just completed scans. I then deactivated all the devices except the 1 that showed my latest scan. I now have 1 device listed in Security and is correctly showing the device information . After reinstalling webroot on the remaining 3 devices none will appear in my Security list. I did 3 or more scans on the three devices and waited much more than 30 minutes. Actually I've been at it noe for almost two days scanning, uninstalling webroot, scanning again, and nothing except the one device is listed in Security.
NoScrypts.exe is a utility provided by Webroot to disable a number of script types in Windows to help prevent fileless rootkits and other types of infections. As of this morning, Webroot is quarantining that utility. MD5: AD422EF5AF8763975FEEADF0F0701DEA I'll also be submitting a ticket.
Trying to run Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 which has run on Windows 10 in the past. Now I receive an error message, "Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again." I have updated my video card drivers and followed recommendations from other Forums but still cannot get the program to run. One of the suggestions I read mentioned blocks by security software. My question is, does Webroot block the running of Adobe Premiere Pro CS6?
After upgrading to Windows 10, Webroot has begun blocking my first keystroke. It's really annoying for passwords because you can't tell you are missing a letter. It also seems to prevent a link within an email from launching an external instance of a site contained in the email. How do I turn that feature off? Thank you.
When Whitelisting a program you can put inthe path to the program or folder but how do I obtain the 32 digit MD5 number from a program so I can use that instead?
I need to embed a group association into the wsasme.msi file before providing the installer to a client. I've reviewed the documentation and tried to use Orca.exe to do so, and in my tests the endpoint is always added to the Default Group. I've selected the group I want to specify, then from the Actions menu chose 'Deploy endpoints to this group' in order to obtain the group code. I then tried setting the CMDLINE property in the .msi file to this: "SME,quiet,Group=-nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn" /qn /l*v %windir%wsa_install_log.txt Trying to make this work, I've tried making the word group lower-case. I've tried removing everything after the quote marks (at the end of the Group code). I've tried using the Group name instead of number. No matter what I try, my test endpoint is always added to the Default Group. My test endpoint is a VM, and after each failed attempt, I am uninstalling WR, deactivating the endpoint in the WR portal, renaming the end
most noted is the Steam notibles...the Restart Helper was taken, OpenVR, SteamVR and now it's ringing every **bleep** minute on everything steam! i'm the admin of the PC and there is no changes....something happened when in the last 24 hours as there was this yesterday
My title says it. Is there a way to check a download site for safety before the actual download? Thx.
In light of recent events, our company is wondering how far off a localized admin console is for us? The ability to locally manage our endpoints while the Cloud struggles to push commands out is a pretty big sticking point on us renewing our sub to Webroot.
Webroot is blocking facebook tonight. Why? Marlene41
How can I get agent commands to execute? Webroot has quarantined a critical application for one of my users. I've gone in and restored it from quarantine but the application still won't run and it appears that Webroot is continuing to interfere with it. I have added an Override and also tried to go into Agent Commands, Idnentity Shield and Allow the application. My user is calling me evern 2 minutes demanding that I either make it work or take Webroot off their machine. I've tried to use Agent Commands to Consider all items good, remove password protection (so I can try to disable their client) but nothing seems to be working. When I view commands selected for endpoint I see a series of commenads lined up that say Not yet received. Our policy sets polling interval to 15 minutes. I have asked the user to refresh configuraiton multiple times and reboot. Nothing seems to work. How can I get these commands to exe
