User Guide

User guide for Webroot Mobile was available on the old mobile forum. Unfortunately you have closed this forum in favour of Community Forums, OK why not. However user guide for mobile version is missing there. Under section user guides there are listed all your products except for mobile version. Therefore could you access the mobile version user guide again?

Android 4.0: Commands appearing in notifications, Scream not working on HTC, Web Interface

Testing SecureAnywhere on a HTC Sensation under Android 4.0. Following issues/questions: 1) Commands sent via web interface listed for everyone to see in notifications area. Any way to hide them? 2) Scream function is not working, might be OS/device specific? 3) While Lost Device Protection is turned on and i.e. Locate my device working fine, phone is still listed as "in need of attention", and how to fix icon reveals nothing. WSA Complete For The Family?

Just a question and I think I know the answer...my wife and both sons (college age) have internet security programs that are about to expire. I am considering WSA Complete...they basically need "set up and forget protection". They all have MBAM-Pro (real time) and I would think that combination would be enough. The wife does some banking on line, not a lot. Since I have only been using WSA Complete 2 days, and like what I see, just considering the move. Thanks in advance for any input.

installed on 3 pc's, won't install on phone

so i've used my keycode 3 times installing on my 3 pc's, and it says with complete i can install on 3 mobile devices as well. i download the app and try to activate keycode and gives me error code 7, not enough installs left.

Navigating and reinstalling Webroot

Webroot continues to be a double-edged sword for me. I've always had great difficulty navigating and finding things, and have a difficult time distinguishing the different opening pages. There should always be an easy way to (1) assess my own account and (2) gain access to help and support from webroot.com. My most recent example is that I lost Webroot on my other pc due to a computer problem and have to reinstall. I go to webroot.com, then mywebroot, and enter my email address and password. I'm now on the Secureanywhere page on that computer with four boxes - PC Security, Mobile Security, Backups, and Passwords. Nowhere on the site is there a link to help and support, or a place to find "community," or to gain access to all the Webroot tools and options I managed to find a link to reinstalling on another computer and thought I reinstalled webroot but it added the webroot as an additional pc rather than reinstalling. This was on Internet Explorer and now I want to add it to Firefox but

Dumb Question?

[b][i]I have tried a couple of times clicking on the "Update software" button on the WSAC and have gotten the same message both times. The message was, "You are using the newest version of Webroot and this version no longer needs to update virus definitions. Threat protection is now performed "in the cloud" and is always up-to-date."[/i][/b] [b][i]So, that being said, why is there an "update software" button? (I know. Dumb question. Right?)[/i][/b]

Just a Question, no real concerns, just curious....

[b][i]I read in annother posting on the community site that someone had found an issue with the shutdown procedure on pcs after installing webroot. I, too, have that "issue", but although it is a bit of an annoyance sometimes, it is not really an issue for me. [/i][/b] [b][i]I was, however, wondering if there has been any "resolution", or "fix" as it were, to this issue. If so, it would be nice to know. If not, again, it is not anything with which I am overly concerned. Merely curious.[/i][/b]

after the Webroot install --and scan--my computer (Lenovo Thinkpad with XP) won't recognize my Ipad when I plug it in. Delivers defective device message, Tried a different USB port and synch cable to no good effect

Secure Anywhere and Outpost Firewall Pro - Web Thread Shield - Analyze Search Engine Results

i believe webroot uses sugarsync as backup and i know sugarsync syncs to pc's and phones,does wsa complete also sync to phones?if so how?if not maybe a future idea.

Weird thing happened

I use webroot complete today my compute basically froze, I had to hit the power button to shut it down. On restart it would not show desktop but the webroot pop up showed up saying im secure. I went into safe mode trying to figure out what was wrong and after trying many things I decided to uninstall wbroot and see. After I uninstalled restarted computer and it startted right up don't know if it was a bug or a glitch but I have reinstalled complete again and I am hoping it doesn't happen again.I am using windows 7 64 bit webroot secureanywhere complete and malwarebytes free. I ran a webroot scan, malwarebytes full scan, and a hitmanpro on demand scan all came up clean.

Are synched files lost online if deleted?

Hello, I'm a little confused about whether synched files are securely backed up. Since all synched files are altered when a change is made, does that mean if a file is deleted, even if by mistake, it will be deleted on synched computers and online? Or if a computer breaks down and has to be reformatted, are the synched files online removed as well. I assume synched files are protected even if not on the Web archive as this would defeat the value of synching, but I've not been able to find this topic on Webroot documentation. Thanks.

SecureAnywhere finds nothing / Spybot finds stuff

I cannot find anywhere on the product website where I can give feedback to a real person so I am posting a concern here. I like Webroot have used it for several years and recommended it to others. my product is updated and since upgrading to SecureAnywhere it has not found one problem on my PC. scanning with the free Spybot Search and Destroy right afterwards I have found numerous malware and spy items that Spybot identified and removed. Anyway to disable or prevent WRSyncManager.exe from running?

Hi there I was wondering if there is any way to disable or prevent WRSyncManager.exe from running? I cannot find a way, either overtly or view the 'back door', to prevent this .exe from running Now, before the storm of questions as to why I would want to do so, that it defeats the whole object of the Backup & Sync functionality, etc., please just accept that I have my own, considered reasons for asking/wanting to, and that I do not want to start a polemic surrounding the merits or not of these reasons, but rather get answers to my question so that if necessary I can lodge a formal request for the introduction of this fucntionality to be considered for addition to a future version. I , personally, think that it would be good to have such a configuration option, perhaps in Settings or a slider at the top of the Backup & Sync panel, to allow the user to disable or enable (enabled is suggested as the default) this functionality if, for some reason, they wish it. wsa toolbar

i mentioned this in the wsa forum on wilders forum but thought i would put it here also. when installing wsa complete and then installing the toolbar/password manager it installs in firefox fine on the admin account(win 7 64&32) but when i go to the standard account its not in firefox?hope this gets fixed someday.

Disabling Webroot During New Programs Installs

When I install new trusted software OR update existing software, is there a way that I can pause WebRoot to make sure it doesn't interfere with the installation/upgrade process? I don't think shutting it down is a good solution. The software should have a "[b]allow trusted software to install/update[/b]" button to insure that the software is installed/updated correctly. Please advise.... Thanks!

Running WSA Complete like Running Essentials?

I do not need all the add-ons that Complete has. (Password, Android & iOS protection). I can use the extra online storage. For password protection I have been using RoboForm for the last 5 or so years. The Military Bases only sells Complete. If I bought WSA Complete can I disable the add-ons, mainly password protection so it does not interfere with RoboForm?

Is the Webroot SecureAnywhere toolbar compatible with Firefox 9 and above?

As long as you have the latest version of SecureAnywhere installed, the Webroot Toolbar is fully compatible with Firefox 9 and above. If you still do not see the Webroot Toolbar in Firefox there are steps you can take to restore the toolbar.
