Do Need to have Microsoft firewall on if I have Webroot fire wall turned on. I keep getting message's saying I am not protected because the Microsoft firewall isn't turned on. Does it hurt to have them both turned on.
This notification is relentless, alerting me every five minutes! I’m not 100% sure it’s even coming from Webroot. It’s telling me to download the new app from Play Store, Launch the new app and create an account (already have an account, why is it asking me to create a new account?), and remove the retired app. Is this really coming from Webroot, or am I being scammed?
I’ve tried again and again to remove the Web Threat Shield after uninstalling Webroot. I cannot get the extenion to shut off or uninstall. I cannot even delete the files as they are locked by the system. This is my home computer, and I can’t remove this! How can you make software that is this invasive that I can’t remove it?!
How do I delete old phones and add new ones?
I purchased one Dell laptop from Best Buy, which allows me to use Webroot AV for free for 6 months. Why I have no way to install the software in my laptop permanently? I can only be using the Webroot tool every time when I open the webpage and then it pop-outs. Next time I have to repeat the same procedure when I want it. Please let me know why and the way to solve this issue.Appreciate your kindly assistance.Best regards,Frank Song
The Optimizer program runs all the time and leaves many message blocks on my computer that have to be deleted, saying the program is being run and will finish shortly but it never does. I cannot get it to stop this even though I removed Webroot from my computer and reinstalled it. I am using Windows 10 and it is driving me crazy.
Hello, How I can forward webroot logs to sumologic. Is there any built in integration?
I received an e-mail to a rarely used account from Sophoss with an embedded image of an invoice stating they received my “online” payment along with a phone number. I called they claimed they received payment by check, het nothing showed in my accounts supposedly from for antivirus subscription? I also rec'd an email from myself stating my WebRoot subscription renewal will be $374.00 and had Geek Squad logo, etc. When I called BB GS they had no knowledge of what I was talking about. I presumed the GS e-mail was a scam as it did not have my new key code. WebRoot CS suggested I contact BB GS specifically for WedRoot support. Given they did not ask for any account or credit card info. and nothing has hit my accounts or credit cards, I cannot take any more action. Appreciate any feedback.
I have another account, (Snip) Ever since y’all included Carbonite, I have had nothing but issues with my passwords and my dashboard. NOW I am LOCKED out of my Webroot and can’t get in there. It even changed my password to the community board. I have tried the “Forgot Password” a few times and now it doesn’t even respond, probably thinking I’m someone else trying to hack into my account. How can I fix this PLEASE? (Snip) Removed private email. Please do not post private information on an open forum. PTD
why does it keep saying preparing to scan
I just noticed that my Webroot says 32 bit. My OS is 64 bit. Is that a problem? Did I install the wrong Webroot? Do I need to fix it and, if so, how?
Hi folks, I’m unable to login into my Webroot account as I’ve forgotten both password and security code.I’ve requested a password reset link and I’m not getting any email with that. The email address I’ve used to request the password reset is the one associated with my Webroot account. What should I do?Thanks in advance.Miguel
When I try to open my new Webroot Mobile Security App I get an error This Site Can’t Provide a Secure Connection ERR-SSL-PROTOCOL-ERROR. It is doing it on only one of my phones that uses Android it is a free Government phone with Assurance Wireless a UMX U693CL.
It Won’t Let Me Update For Some Reason. “We're having trouble restarting to finish the install. Try again in a little while. If you keep seeing this, try searching the web or contacting support for help. This error code might help: (0x80070005)” - Windows
Hi folks,I’m a new user here in the Forum and this is my first post / request for help.I’ve just purchased a renewal for my current Webroot subscription via the Webroot’s website, as I didn’t have auto-renewal option on. My current subscription will expire in 23 days (begin of august). I’m a Windows user (in case it matters). The key-code for my renewed subscription is the same as the one for my current subscription which is about to expire. With this in mind:[1]. Will my current subscription automatically renew for another year and activate itself now that I’ve purchased a 1-year extension? [2]. If the answer to the previous questions is yes, will the automatic renewal happen on the last day of the current subscription?[3]. If the answer to [1]. is no - no automatic renewal of the subscription - do I have to manually activate the renewal by logging into my account via the Webroot users account site ? Could use some guidance. Thanks in advance.Miguel
Renewing Webroot, I am told the fee is $39. Nowhere on the checkout page does it say this is USD. I am in Australia, so my card gets charged $59. To me this means one of two things. It’s either deceptive practice, as displaying the actual amount in the currency of the user would be a higher amount, which the company seemingly wants to avoid despite being the honest thing to do. Or, at the very least, it’s simply disrespectful. Is Webroot intended only for U.S. customers? If not, why not have the courtesy to display the amount in the user’s currency (as many respectful businesses do), or at least have the courtesy to state the currency of the displayed fee. Or do they think the whole world revolves around the U.S., and feel no need to think otherwise? I previously contacted support about this issue, and received a canned and completely inadequate response, so just to make things worse, the claims of good customer service are apparently empty claims.
All the information I’m finding online is telling me how to use the system optimizer, but I can’t find it in my program anywhere. I figure that’s probably because the version I bought doesn’t come with that feature, but I’m not sure and I don’t know how to check. Apparently it just disappeared for some people, too, which just makes me more confused 😅 I have version 9.0.32.58, and the line at the top of the window says CE 22.3, but I have no idea what either of those things mean or if they’re even relevant.Help?
Carbonite has become a major irritation. Not only is it abominably slow but every time I’m diverted to it I’m questioned by an annoying security app only to find my password doesn’t work. I seem to have to generate a new one for each visit. Last time I visited I forgot my password I clicked on the resulting email and found myself logged in to my account!!!Why has Webroot put itself in the hands of these amateurs? Who are they anyway? Norton killed itself doing a similar thing when it hitched up with Symantec.
Buenas noches, necesito me indiquen como encontrar una renovación del anti virus y activación del mismo….(Good evening, I need you to tell me how to find a renewal of the anti virus and activation of it….) ~PTD
How can whitelist my website from your database if I’m not a client? Website is clean and working perfect.
Giving McAfee and other cancerous anti-virus a run for its money in terms of ANNOYING and OBNOXIOUSWho thought allow Webroot SecureAnywhere to send popups to their customers was a good idea? This is beyond annoying. I have never seen these sort of annoying popups until now this month and I’ve been subscribed since 2016. Stop asking us to sign up for “My Account” and stop asking us to accept your terms of service. How many times do I have to close these damn popups before I chargeback my credit card?
Webroot recently started showing me a popup at start up of Windows 10 containing the words: “Sign up for MyAccount.” I am already signed up! Yet this braindead program keeps showing me the popup. I am getting tired of clicking the little X. There should be some built-in interaction between the popup and the fact that I am already “signed up.” I have tried just about every suggestion on the internet. Apparently Webroot has gone out of their way to circumvent the normal Windows popup override system. HELP!
My Webroot seems to be active and the control panel says it was updated 5/22/22 and Defender says it’s active. I’m unable to execute the program or open or do a scan, the link or icon doesn’t react to anything. Help!
Is it necessaryto install the NEW Webroot App? Can I continue to use Webroot and be protected if I don't uninstall the old/original Webroot App? I love the original app, and after reading all the reviews on the new Webroot App, I am very reluctant to install the new app.
