Webroot

i have webroot for home, the one with all the bells and whistles.  It's running v-e-r-y slowly, and stops after a few minutes, having scanned only  ccouple of hundred files.   anyone else having this problem? 

A month ago I upgraded my MacBook Air to a newer model, and reinstalled Carbonite for backing up files. It’s fine at home connecting via my home wifi, but when I go into my office and connect via a wifi dongle and the cellphone network, Carbonite shows “Bad configuration”. I reinstall Carbonite at work and it works again there, but when I come home and connect to my home wifi again, exactly the same thing happens. To my not very tech-savvy mind, it seems as if Carbonite is sensitive to how my new laptop connects to the internet, which never happened on the old laptop. Any thoughts?

I bought Webroot Essential last year, it will expired February 2027, and i bought Webroot Other earlier this year so i can use it on more devices, but recently my Webroot Mobile app doesn’t work anymore, and it keep saying my subscription has ended, i checked and both of my Keycode still active until 2026/2027, can someone help me?

In the Management Console, the user can list out all the entities that needs attention by using the filters. I would also like to get all of those entities via the API. I have found this endpoint:/service/api/status/gsm/{keyCode}With the field BasicInfo having the subfield of AttentionRequired: bool This is great, but somehow the data from the API does not match the entities in the web console (Some missing, there’s some entities from the API not present in the web console, etc.) Also I can’t get the entityId, and the marname, these fields are from when I inspected the network request from the web console, the data is in JSON form and it seems to be perfect for what we need.

Every time I do a scan, the scan stops 11% of the way and hangs up when looking for rootkits. What’s happening and how do I fix this?

Hi When I log into my Carbonite Account, I don’t receive the the SMS/Text message and have to request the code be resent via email.Would this be because I am located in Australia? The +61 Country Code is included in my Phone Number. 

How do I submit a suspicious file in Total Protection, specific to Total Protection GUI.I know how to do this in Webroot Secure Anywhere (did it many times), but that is missing in the Total Protection GUI.And/Or how to do it via a web browser.This website to a hotel asks to verify you are a human, upon which it downloads SaveBrowse.msix 

I’ve noticed there have not been any updates to the Mac OS version since late 2023. Does Webroot intend to continue to support Mac OS, or is the product on life support only?

i keep trying to connect to the wifi security vpn but for some odd reason it tells me to check my internet connection.  i’m on the internet but can’t figure out why it won’t connect

Webroot tech support have confirmed my subscription has until Feb 2027 BUT in 12 days, have not been able to rectify it from Expiring!It's a real pain & very disappointing.  I asked for it to be escalated when the ticket was a week old but still no resolution!I've been using Webroot for close to 20 years.Anyone else had this problem?

I renewed my Webroot Internet Security Plus through Amazon. After downloading, the new keycode does not show up in my list of subscriptions. However, yesterday I was able to access the console and the the new keycode showed there. Came back to review things today and cannot access the console now. The only thing I did differently with this renewal was to opt in for 2 factor authorization. When attempting to access the console, Opentext doesn’t send me me a code.

I have Webroot Total Protection.  It says I need to run Performance Scan but when I do it say I need to activate my subscription.  My subscription is active and this message does not show on any of the other devices that I have installed Total Protection on.  Has anyone had this issue?  Any resolution?

When trying to log in to Webroot Wifi Security I get this notice:WiFi is still connected and computer is online. This happened after I re-installed the program MSI Laptop, Windows 10 Home Edition

I am repeatedly receiving a notification pop-up from Webroot prompting me to allow or block a certain process. However, nothing is actually listed in the box, even when I click the “show event details” button. What should I do?

I did a System Restore in Windows 11 and after I logged back in the error message was on screen.I disabled Webroot and tried the same System Restore Point again and the same message.Administrator Command Prompt ran in the order belowSFC /ScannowDISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealthNo ErrorsUninstalled Webroot and reran the Same System Restore Point and Success.Webroot was installed again, had to input the Keycode.

Trying to find a way to remove a pc/laptop from my account in order to add new ones, cannot get any info from the webroot page, anyone can help? Or how to deactivate them. Thanks. (Removed Private Information) PTD 

When I choose remove, the wheel spins as it tries, then a red x appears and the webroot warning is still there. 4-25-25This occurred after phone update.What to do?

Webroot on Android informed me of the following potential threat. I assume “Terminal” is a CLI, but didn’t think Android would have an app for it.  I did not download an app with this name, nor have I recently installed new apps in the last few months.  Never happened in all the years I have used Webroot. Hi, So today I’ve tried to connect to various countries with the WiFi security, and when I choose Cyprus I end up in… Saint Petersburg, Russia. Not the country I want to be in, not even neighbours. Please fix this ASAP.  Kind regards

I have run Webroot for many years and have a current subscription. I saw a possible indication of a virus on my desktop computer and went to support where I got redirected to the Best Buy Geek Squad and told that I was entitled to a free remote session to check out my computer.  I was then refused the free session because I hadn’t bought Webroot from Best Buy and they had no record of me subscribing to it.  Is this how it’s supposed to work?

i tried to login to my Webroot Wifi Security, but it keep saying Wifi Security Can't Connect, i've tried to reinstalling the app, but it doesn't work

As of yesterday, I started getting a Webroot pop up when I start my computer telling me that this event wants to install itself to start up every time the computer does. I didn’t know what it was, so I may have blocked it as Webroot suggested. But then there was another pop up saying that it was trying to connect to the internet. Looking online, I found that this program was a part of Window, maybe edge. I tried allowing it, but all that does is refresh the pop so the timer resets. It does this over and over if I click on the allow button. If I let it go until Webroot says it will allow it (2 minutes I think), then the pop up goes away. But today it popped up a second time doing the same thing. I did sent in a support ticket, but I figured I’d check here.I can’t say for sure that it said that it wanted to install itself to run on start up today for sure. I didn’t think to check. It may have or it may not have. I did look under Blocked items under PC Security, but nothing was

I got an email from some company that said I was to be charged to an online payment service almost $600.00 I do not want to be to specific just in case those bad guys are watching this  web group. Anyway of course i opened the attachment oops am i now hacked? i ran webroot and webroot found nothing am i still hacked though? please let me know any help would be much appreciated I tried to go to the web based payment service and report the email they AI gave me an adress to send it too I wanted to see if AI could look at email an attachment to see if any code could be written into my computer from opening the email attachment please reply thanks
