I first became aware of Webroot over a year ago when I signed up for it through Best Buy when  I had them do work on my desktop computer. Then when I was trying to get some files back and called Carbonite to help me, they said that they now owned Webroot. So I signed up for it through them. I saw something on my computer that said the last check up was 20 days ago so I wonder if it is even working? I am not real computer smart so can’t find my account that tells me what I have and how many years I have it.  (Should be 3 years). Hope this all makes sense.

Long story short, I am a Dish Network subscriber duped into one of their Protect Plans and it included Webroot Internet Security Plus for three devices. They stated it was completely cloud based, required no downloads/installs, but provided virus and malware protection. Did not make sense to me how the protection could be achieved without installing anything, but was told the Plan was only be $2.99/mo and decided to try it. Then I created my Webroot account, quickly learning I was lied to since I had to download an app to my MacBook and install extensions to my browsers. Since discovering I was lied to about the Plan price that is actually $12.99, and promptly demanded Dish remove it from my bill. Unfortunately, I do not even know if I get to keep the Webroot Internet Security Plus for three devices or not, and am waiting to hear back from Webroot support because Dish somehow did not know. Is there a list of the malware that Webroot takes care of so that I can do a quick check and (hopefully) reassure a user that indeed Webroot deals with it?

I’m a medically retired Military Police Officer that’s trying to just take things as easy as I possibly can from here on out but I’ve got a problem. For over a year now I have been dealing with some strange issues involving my electronics such as my cell phone, computer, router, and anything that is connected to the internet. Now I know that there’s some people out there that claim that they are being hacked and in reality they have a virus, Trojan, or malware. I’m not saying that isn’t my case either. When I login, the message that Windows Defender and Webroot SecureAnywhere are both turned off. When I run Webroot and start a scan, Webroot suddenly disappear. This is happening on a Surface running Windows 10 Home and on a Surface Pro running Windows 10 Pro. It doesn't occur on my desktop PC which is running Windows 10 Enterprise. I have seen this being reported 3 years ago. The fix suggested cannot be applied to the current version of Windows 10.

There is a blue icon saying the first scan not complete. Apple popped up saying I had 3 viruses and there was 30% damage to my Mac. The blue icon has been up there for a while. I've read that you have to uninstall/reinstall, but I won't have a new key code to put in. What should I do?

@LLiddell or @freydrew, Thursday, 8/22 at about 4:50 PM EST I received around 15-20 emails that a new topic had been added to the Submit a Business Feature Request subforum. I thought it strange that I received so many at once, but just thought the community was really active. My settings are set-up to send me a notification if someone creates a new topic in this forum. I haven't had the chance to look at all of them and I've been getting to them as I've had time. However, I was responding to one today and noticed that it was submitted by the user 3 months ago. Another one was 7 months ago. Why did I receive all those notifications at once? Honestly, I feel bad because it appears they never had any response at all. I wonder if their threads even appeared on the community. Thought you might want to know. Here's the one I just responded to.

My son has a PC that is infected with possibly multiple malware. He'd like to restore into some kind of working order to retrieve data and apps. There's an antivirus program already installed called OpenCloud, which seems to be misbehaving. Unable to shut it off to let Webroot do its thing. Assuming OpenCloud is part of the problem. Original Windows disks probably discarded years ago.

Apologies if this has been discussed, I cannot find anything on it. We usually use https://webroot.mobiusworks.com/user/site_agreements for our ConnectWise integration, to sync users to agreements. However, now when I try to do a sync, mobius times out. Is there a new site that I need to visit to sync? Thank you.

I have had my webroot for a while and it used to take between 2 minutes and right at 3 to finish a Full Scan. Since yesterday, it now takes between 11 - even once 20 minutes, and Im unsure why, I have had my computer checkout by Geek Squad, and it is clean by thier standards and they did a "Tune Up" but my webroot still is doing 11 - 15 minutes or more per scan. It never catches anything when it scans, also it renews for me on the 16th of October thought I dont know if that matters. The only other thing I can mention is, I make profiles and moved a lot of widgets and stuff saving and then moving them to a new image hosting site, but I did remove all of them and cleaned up as best as I could to my knowledge.

When using internet explorer I cannot type anything in the description box when making new post, edge and chrome are fine. Anyway to fix this or is it a known problem ?

Hi Folks, We are talking here about a rarely used but clean Windows XP docked ThinkPad with a platter HDD. Manual WSA deep-full scans used to take only 5.5 minutes for many years up thru and including PC Agent Version 9.0.24.49 ..... that would be yesterday July 1, 2019. Yesterday, immediately following an "auto-update" to PC Agent Version 9.0.26.61 and reboot, the same 40,000 file manual deep-full scans are now taking 26.5 minutes ... about 5 times longer and seem to pause mostly now on dll files. There were no changes to the ThinkPad before or after the update from yesterday. Today, after several more manual deep-full scans the time remains the same at 26+ minutes and the reports show the unit is clean. I've always disabled autoscans .... just manual scans each time this ThinkPad is used.... plus, also for many years, manual-only scans with both MalwareBytes Free v3.5.1.2522 (the last version supporting Windows XP) and

I've tried multiple times to install ASUS Aura, but when it's downloading files, webroot just doesn't let them download.

When I log in to my laptop, I get a message asking me for admin permission in order to delete the folder named "OS". Other than the fact that I haven't explicitly tried to delete anything, "OS" is the volume name of my C: drive. What is attempting to delete "OS" and why? My Webroot scans are coming up clean.

Recently I've run into problems with downloads freezing my system, especially from Steam but also from NVIDIA. In one case, it appeared that Windows 7 Pro firewall was blocking Steam's downloader from accessing the Internet by just freezing my system every time Steam tried to download and apply a patch. Yesterday a one-hour download took me all day to acquire. Finally, Windows told me what it was up to and I found a work-around. I've seen some prior comments on this forum that the two systems are complementary and should both be ON, but the latest was five years ago, so I'm wondering if that's still true. It appears the Windows firewall has a lot of options to control inbound, outbound, etc. What I need is detailed advice on how to set up their system to work best with yours and avoid excess interference with my daily activities.

I have LastPass on Google Chrome on my computer. It works fine. I'm trying to get it on my laptop but it says I have the wrong password or ID. It's the same I use to get on Webroot. If I try to do a recovery, It tells me LastPass isn't on this device.
